Thank you Kevin for posting the pictures and here is the story
My father bought this vase at an Estate Sale of a famous Art Deco architect in Montevideo almost 50 years ago
This man probably bought it in Paris in the late 1920's [as oppoosed to a piece exported to Montevideo or Buenos Aires] because it does not have "France" inscribed at the base [which was the norm on "for export" pieces]
I finally brought it to my home in Massachusetts last month as a gift from my dad
If anybody has access to the Joulin-Maier book on Schneider/LVF art glass, you can find 2 patters of stylized flowers in page 157 that look very close but are not quite the same [Liserons and and Volubilis, which are considered very rare by the authors]
In my curiosity to find out the name of the pattern in the vase I contacted the book publisher in Germany by Email
To my surprise I got a very prompt e mail from Mrs Jolin and Mr Maier [they are husband and wife] stating [and I quote] : " We agree with you:this is really a vary rare pattern.. We saw this pattern only twice.Unfortunately nobody knows the name of it"
I am of course extremely appreciative of their help and expertise
Anyway, even without a pattern name,I look at ti every day with loving eyes
Happy Holiday to all
