5 Pound Duck? Good for Roasting....LOL

 :hi: there:

Bought this Glass Duck Bowl today.  It is 13 inches long, and about 8.25 inches widest point.  Height is to the top of the Bowl---> 4.50 inches and to the top of the Head of the Duck, it is 8 inches tall.  Color is Amber.  Weight is 5.15 pounds, so a heavy sucker.  Has like grooves along the outside of the base

I am not sure.....Maybe Chalet??????  ????????  That is where I might lean towards, but just a guess ???    LOL 

Any thoughts or ideas?  Thanks as always  :kissy:

Wow, he's a real mixture! His head seems similar to some Murano ducks, but the body looks like a different style to me. Maybe a rare prototype for someone :) I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable glassies will recognise your roast.

I have no idea...only leaning to Chalet/Lorraine glass by the base (and sides of the base).....maybe?? as I think the bottom sides of their bowls are more fluid-y type ???

Is there a signature in the bowl itself? I have a swan that has a signature on the inside of the bowl....

Will take a closer look.  I always have the bad habit of just looking on the bottom for marks....when they could be anywhere else I guess too.  I have no idea, but thought I would take a chance on it.  Who is the maker (the mark) on yours?

No idea LOL

I researched it a few years ago, its very much the Murano style. I guess there may be a few more signatures added to anything I checked before. Looks kind of like a B to me? I'll have to have another look....

I have no idea on this one at all...and drawing blanks on my searches.

He IS a big Glass Duck.    Maybe this pic helps to show the Size better!!  He is a big boy at over 5 pounds !!
