Is This A Piece of Murano
« on: January 14, 2012, 08:36:30 PM »
 :help:
Hi you good and knowledgable people of GMB , can anybody give me a clue to where or who this piece of glass comes from and who made it ?? I have this freeform design bowl which measures 13" across and 4" high , in an encased glass of white and blue swirl pattern , a quatrafoil design. I have included 3 photos , Top , Base and Side angles.
I look forward to any replies and thank you all now for taking the time to view this and give any positive answers. Thank you Roy

I have seen such pieces in TK Max with spurious Murano labels on them - quite modern but attractive non the less.

Hi there:

IMHO, I would say (newer) Arte Lavorazione Murano....see HERE   It probably had a label on it that looked like this one **HERE , IMHO.

If you like it, that is all that matters.  I do not collect these pieces myself but others may.  Pretty sure that is what your bowl is, but others may have some more opinions.

  :)

Also wanted to point out this about Arte Murano for you to read    **HERE      Good to read the info there, and better described than I did.
