A piece of Gordiola glass listed as Moser on ebay has just sold for 235.88 pounds mine are averaging 25 pounds some with the same artwork , it pays to tell porkies,  but i can sleep at night even when fuming .  :sleep: well now and again . :sleep: jp.

sold to someone who should have done his (or her) homework better and who should be more pitied than scolded. But the seller is another matter.

Seventeen bids i believe five bidders so the word hasnt got around yet . I wonder if he sells mugs as well as selling to mugs .

More money than sense! Once saw a little Heron Glass iridescent vase being sold as Loetz and went for something ridiculous like $400 and it's the sort of thing that's worth about £10 if you're very lucky!

People would rather pay through the nose for something incorrectly attributed than buy the genuine article.

 :grrr:  I pity the buyer as well.  Lots of people don't 'do' homework, because they believe they are buying what is advertised of course.

Not as bad as the bit of quite ordinary pink Royal Brierley (Studio style, designed by the Harris family) which went for around £1,000 as "Loetz".

A couple of weeks back I decided to write a few sellers that the "Murano" glass figures they were selling were contemporary Chinese pieces. I sent them links to their pieces so they could see. The sellers were asking up to $200 for their pieces! These have no collector value and might sell for $19 retail on a good day. The sellers that responded said thank you, but didn't change their listings. This showed me there was a deliberate attempt to defraud. One has to walk carefully on eBay. There are a lot of good sellers, but there are just as many who talk sweet and pick people's pockets.
