What is this bowl?
« on: January 16, 2012, 08:02:52 PM »
Hi,
Would someone be able to provide information on the pictured bowl?  It has no markings of any kind.  The black around the edge is 'painted' onto the glaze, and does not appear to have been fired with the bowl.  The peacocks are raised.
I dont know where to begin, so any help would be appreciated.  What I do know - it was "grandma's bowl", and I am around 50 years old.
TIA!

"Grandma's bowl" is very striking.
