I don't know about the spectacles, Keith,  ;D
but you're right in thinking Walsh Pompeian is not cased.

...   you're right in thinking Walsh Pompeian is not cased.

Sue — too generalised.   Pink Pompeian was always cased (flint on ruby).

...   looks like a trip to spec-savers   ...

Keith — It's Specsavers.   I collected my new specs (two pairs) from them last week and I'm delighted.   In my case around 40%–45% cheaper than Boots — and a big choice with reverse sprung hinges — and a big choice of conventional shapes (as opposed to the trendy wide screen / letterbox shape being pushed in Boots) — and great staff you could have a laugh with.

apologies, Bernard. I didn't even know pink pompeian existed.  :-X what a ghastly thought.
I never bother wasting precious energy even focussing on anything pink - with or without glasses of any description.

I know only of green and yellow and I think they're lovely - especially when they glow.

Is the casing great thick stuff like this vase in question?
