Art glass it looks like a duck, can you help me?
« on: January 18, 2012, 06:57:00 PM »
I need you help again, I have this piece it looks like a duck....yes a duck I think.  It is very heavy, it's 18" tall and 8" across around the middle part of the piece and at the top it is 1 1/2" thick.  No mark or label.  The color is green.  As someone ever see a piece like that.  Thanks for your time, I greatly appreciate your help.    :hi:

Just a general comment.  It is better too start off topics in the "Glass" area of the board as it gives the maximum exposure - and more important it may come from areas far from the one you originally thought.  For instance I can NOT actually help you with this query - rings no bells, but as a punt I am dubious that it is Murano.  I wonder about Czech makers, Polish makers, even say Chalet from Canada, and of course these days all the other Asian makers.  Also the photos you provide are very important.  It is useful to have one that clearly shows the base as the way that is done may help those more expert differentiate between different makers.

All that said it looks a nice item and I hope you get a good attribution.
