Please, could anybody help with this Blue Glass Vase?
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:13:56 PM »
I am trying to find out more information and a maker of this Vase. I thought it could be a "Holmegaard" but when I took it to somebody to look at they were unable to link the design to them. They did think it was Scandinavian and maybe a design by "Riihimaen" but again they were not sure and advised me to do further research in that area.

At the moment I can not find this design but can find ones that look very similar by maker "Lindshammar". I would be very grateful if somebody could help me. It is 19.5cm high and 7cm wide.

Thank you for your time and I hope that maybe somebody has the answer. If anybody needs higher quality images, etc please let me know.

Regards,

Martyn

Hi and welcome Martyn!  :hi:

Unless someone can id your vase straight away Wayne´s site would be a good starting point:

Thanks Dirk for the advice but I have look thru the whole site and can still not find this design. I still think it is closer to "Holmegaard" but I can not get anybody to give me answer. Does anybody know where I might get somebody to identify it for me?

Thanks again everyone and I hope someone can help.

Hi Martyn,
deffo not Holmegaard or Riihimaki.

This kind of cased glass has been(and still is) produced by numerous glassworks all over the world, so it's almost impossible to say who it was unless it's either signed, labelled or shown in a catalogue.

Sorry I can't be of anymore help but hopefully somebody else can say who produced your vase.

Dan
