Dino Martens red and white striped bowl?
« on: January 29, 2012, 09:00:28 PM »
Hello
Is this a Murano Dino Martens bowl? red swirls with white striped pattern and cased in clear.
Some bubbles in the glass.
The piece is 18.5cm diameter 5.5cm high weighs 1380g, agewear on the base.
Well made piece.
Cheers.

I'm away from my Martens book with all the patterns in it, so I can't be sure. However, it doesn't look a Dino Martens piece to me. I'll be interested to hear what others may think.

The filigrana look internal and cased to me, so I vote no for Dino Martens. Martens filigrana that I've handled has been external and applied a fasce. It is a nice bowl, though.

Thank you, thought it was too good to be true.
