Topic: Small enamelled creamer jug = Made in Roumania

Hello all, I see this kind of glass in just about every place I go. Its usually very thin and badly done and very rubbed. This jug stood out as it is solid and well enamelled IMO. It is 13.5cm in height and weighs 320g. I will try to show the base. I did have the sugar bowl that matched this jug but broke it in transit..

I think your jug is most probably of Polish or Czechoslovakian origin, we see a lot of these in various decorations where I live, plus plain coloured ones - I have 2 plain ones and they are nicely made with a polished pontil mark on the base. Someone else can probably add more for you.

Thanks for the tweak. I'm not happy about the bowl breaking as they were a great pair together. As I said I see lots of glass similar to this and have always left it alone, one sneeze and they are gone. I will list and hope it gets a good home after seeing if I can find more info. Thanks

I have just seen a similar pair of these on line with a made in romania sticker attached.  I guess that answers that one. Saw two other sets as well.  Still would have liked to have the bowl I broke.
