Strange FISH Vase! I don't expect an ID or anything but...
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:54:02 PM »
Hi smart people!

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Google comes up with all sorts of fish vases and bottles but none at all like this one, it is very heavy and shiny.

Thanks

Helga

It looks to be well made but I can't help, sorry. I just had to comment on your beautiful cat - who looks a little confused about the fish being the focal point of your picture.

Your cat should be the main feature!

thank you!

she is a beauty, Norwegian forest cat mix, she never goes out but likes the window sill...where I keep some of my glass.

Such a strange fish since it cant hold anything, if I put water in it it just pours out the way it is shaped and to put candy in it is also strange since the opening is not big enough to reach in an get it..haha..I have been experimenting as you see.

I thought I sort of recognised her looks - perfectly beautiful.  ;D
 - I had a Norwegian Forest Cat-look-alike moggie myself, he and I adored each other. They have such lovely natures.
Sorry, we're off-topic.
You could keep spills in your fish, or if you had several, they could be used for napkins on a table setting..... or cotton wool balls on a dressing table.....
(I'm remembering your toilet cistern has a curved top, so you can't put it there.)

(spills are long thin slivers of wood for fire-lighting)

Kinda strange and not deep enough for it to do This   either....BUT Kitty would enjoy much more  ;)

Can't be an ashtray as no hole in the top for smoke to escape.....maybe something (anything) came in it as a Gift...

There is always the strange notion that it is simply decorative - which it is. ;D
