Bright Red Bowl with bubbles (Murano??)
« on: February 18, 2012, 03:08:09 AM »
 :hi:

Bought this a while ago and only getting to posting it now.  Bright red glass Bowl with about 5 rests/folded edges.  Has some pulled lobes around the sides.  Controlled Bubbles.  Polished bottom - Base has some wear, and there is some grinding along the edges of the bottom of the bowl -- if that makes a difference (?)

~ About 4.25 inches tall
~ 8.50 inches wide
~ Weight about 4.15 pounds

I am leaning towards Murano on this one -- but not completely sure. :spls: because of the color ?  Yes or No ?

Any opinions, idea, confirmations, or the year made?  Thanks as always.

Thanks -- but the Bowl is more of a Red than an "orange/red".  I will take some photos in natural light.....as it is Red (so my pics here might be a bit misleading) ??   No orange to it.   ?? The sprigs, or folds around the bowl look so much like other Murano bowls that I have here.

Still not sure IMHO, as to Murano or Lorraine -- as more Red.  Not sure IF Lorraine did much with *Bubbles* either, as I do NOT think they did any bubbles at all.

Here is a lorraine/chalet piece of mine (more orange):  http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18060.0.html

So I really am still undecided on this one. :spls:    Still kinda ?? (IMHO) since it HAS bubbles..
