ID for goblets with round knobbles ? possibly Hylling ?
« on: February 23, 2012, 05:07:51 PM »
I have seen a set of six goblets with round knobbly around it. They are about 6 inches high. Its one of those 'I've seen them somewhere' but cant remember where. Any ideas Just between me and GMB, I do have a memory problem :-[ It causes a lot of bother. I only have the one picture, (with permission to use it)
Pete. :-)

The bumps reminds me of a Pukeberg bowl that i've seen. Perhaps this design has been done by many makers though.  :-X

LOL!  The answer to that one Ivo, is to keep them topped up all of the time!

I've had no luck with attribution using Google, I could only find one in a different colour... http://www.rara-avisfinearts.co.uk/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/glass/grn-prssd-gblt.jpg

Which is probably not much use.  :pb:

You found more than I could find. It all helps, at least I now know they are available in another colour and at a good price, Hope a set of six are worth a bit more but I'm an optimistic pessimist   ;D. It says 1950's so that might be a step in the right direction. Thanks very much.

Maybe Hylling? Apart from the obvious differences, the 'knobbles' look slightly more pronounced. But obviously a different mould. Possibly from a range?

Maybe ask a MOD to add Hylling to the title to get Scandi glass experts looking?
