Lalique-like koi and lily pad tray ID, please
« on: February 23, 2012, 08:01:11 PM »
The molding on this tray is spectacular - beautiful design and detail.  The quality of the glass is lacking.  One good size bubble and some surface imperfections.  The smokey color is applied to the surface.  Any idea of maker?  Thanks for looking.

Hi,

Don't have my reference materials to hand, but your tray looks almost certainly to be by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co.  :)

Thank you.  At least I have an avenue to explore.

Actually I'm 100% certain that your tray is either Consolidated or Phoenix - and I'd be leaning more towards Consolidated. I just don't immediately recognise the pattern. You could try contacting the Phoenix & Consolidated Collectors Club - they have a website http://pcgcc.org/ , but I can't seem to open it at the moment (probably because of my terrible internet connection...)

They also have a presence on facebook, here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Phoenix-Consolidated-Art-Glass/146715138689576

Steven, you are spot on.  Consolidated Martele glass in brown, fish and lily pad pattern.

Many thanks.

 :spls:
Is this a different Phoenix company to the one in England which made (amongst other things) the oven ware?
