Topic: im lost with this ashtray / bowl murano ?

hi is this what you call alabaster glass. has anyone any ideas of maker. i thought murano at first but cant get Czech out of my brain.

It isn't alabaster glass (or alabastro). It looks more like opalino, or perhaps a bowl that has a a touch of opaline in it. The ashtray looks like it could be Murano glass to me, but I don't know who.

Stew would it be possible to upload at least one of your pictures directly to the site please?
I keep getting odd messages when I click on photobucket images so I just click straight off again without being able to see the glass.  And it means that if the photobucket links disappear there is no record of the item being discussed

opal glass or opalescent glass is probably the correct term for that layer - not opaline, or opalino, or albastro. I vote Murano and yes it is lovely.
