Smooching Birds on Base -- Frosted ??
« on: February 28, 2012, 06:58:39 PM »
 :hi:

Found this little pair of smooching frosted birds.  Even though they are small, I best check them out.  On round glass base.

~ Round Glass Base about 2.5 inches long
~ Length of birds - about 4 inches long, width of birds about 1.25 inches
~ About 2.50 inches tall.
~ Birds Frosted, base clear
~ See no marks or anything

Anything, something, or nothing?  Thanks as always :ghug:

............whoops doorbell here....brb

(Added now, but late):  here are the birds......If nothing, that is Fine as they are Cute!!

They look quite different to me, most noticeably in the detailing of the wings.  Sorry Rose!  (I could, of course, be wrong!)

Never mind,  at least they didn't try to forge a signature on it! :usd:

 :ghug:  Thanks all.

I did not think they might be much as the quality was not there at the seams....but I thought I still best post it, just in case.  Best to have confirmations even IF it is a Copy!!

Glad you posted it though Rose - I know you probably never thought it was Lalique and just  hoped for an ID.  But, for me at least, your post has led to good info.  :)

Thanks wolkenreb.   :ghug:

Yeah, Lalique was the farthest thing from my mind -- as I never knew they made such item.  But I keep hoping I will *stumble* upon a Lalique item, so a lot of times I am looking for glass with some frosting (Just in case).  Plus, I had some other surprizes here when I thought something was Chinese and it ended up be older Czech.

Best to post -- as maybe even a copy by another company might be (sometimes) good ----- or not!   LOL  Now we know this one is not, but still cute birdies !!
