Large Opalescent Bowl - ID = Andre Hunebelle 'Crysantheme'

12" diam, 3" high opalescent bowl in deco style - heavy - no visible markings

Any idea of date and maker?

I've seen one the same with a "made in france" mark around the center of the bowl. It had no other marks though.  :)

Hi Adam,

This is actually a design by Andre Hunebelle called 'Crysantheme'. They were produced for Hunebelle at Choisy-le-Roi. The fact that yours doesn't carry the moulded Hunebelle mark makes me suspect it was produced after Hunebelle closed his operation in around 1938. This bowl (along with other patterns such as 'cactus') appears to have remained in production for some time (and sold with Choisy-le-Roi labels), probably until the fifties at least.

Good ID - mine differs from one in link given above in that Made in France is etched lightly to upper side of base, inside the bowl. Don't know what that implies.
