Large (20 cm at the widest point and 8 cm high).

I think it could well be a Murano name, or perhaps just generic.

The base is ground.

It looks oddly poorly shaped for Murano and the flower thing is strange  ??? BTW that's gold not aventurine

Oh, I thought the melted gold leaf was aventurine.

Yes it is an odd piece. Cumbersome in size and weight, and the flower is completely at odds with the rest of the piece. Yet the gold is nicely distributed and gives a lovely shimmering effect. The green has a nice matte, opacity to it. An intriguing piece - if unsophisticated.
