Do you think this bowl is a Whitefriars glass?  It is signed in gold letters PLR.  If not could you help me ID? Thank you for your help with identifying this piece.

Welcome to the board. I pretty confident that it's not Whitefriars. I also suspect the signature is a previous owner. Painted signatures are usually on the bottom of an item and generally (but not always) belong to the decorator, and as your bowl seems undecorated...

Adding your location to your profile would be helpful,as sometimes glass doesn't travel far. I would suspect your bowl to be American but...

Pictures against a plain white/pale background are generally the most helpful, and we always like base shots.
