beaked vase Czech ??
« on: April 21, 2012, 02:55:08 PM »
Hi, cannot find an I/D for this beaked vase , found similar types of colourway on some Czech items but not sure if it is.
Has various colours of amber, green and blue, weighs 1.395g / 10 inches tall / 2.25 inches wide / and a flat polished base. Any help  would be great.
Regards
Malc

It looks very Czech to me. I wonder if it's worth asking Moser if it's Karlovarske Sklo production, as that's what it seems closest to, imo.

The design looks certainly Czech, but the colours look rather bright to me, it might be relatively new production.

It is certainly CZ, I seem to recall it was Mstisov Karlovarske, perhaps a Zemek design, one of the brothers,

I contacted Moser  who informed me that this glass piece was produced by Karlovarské sklo in the 1960s thanks David spot on with id. The vase is not a product of Moser glassworks but a product of Karlovarské sklo which production took place in the Moser glassworks but this production (especially the design used a technique which was different from the Moser production. Many thanks to everyone on GMB for their input and to Moser
