Hi everyone I'm back again :-)
I purchased a large freeform style glass bowl from a French market a few weeks ago in Toulouse. I was wondering if anyone on here may be able to help me identify its origins and if possible who may have made it.
The lady I purchased it off was insistent that it is a piece of French glass and dates from about the 1960's-70's but I cannot be sure.
Anyway enough of me waffling on I'll move on to the glass.
It is a free form style with jagged edges which come into 4 definite points at the top. The base is completely smooth and some of the creases in the glass are completely clear and some are a frosted effect. With the design of the creases the base almost looks like a flower but I cannot see any markings or signatures.
It is nice and heavy and weighs about 1750 grams, it stands about 5 inches tall and is 13 inches wide at the widest point.
I have attached a few photos for you to look at although they might not be the best.
Thanks,
Dave
