The FO has turned out to be a 80 - I dont know what that could be for - how tall is the lamp btw?
I think it is strange it has the code on.  Must have been done specifically for something, perhaps they numbered all the examples that were kept in house so they could be easily identified for marketing purposes?

 ???

Some West German ceramics have the dimensions of the piece moulded into their bases - I'm wondering if this might have been a sort of vague German "convention" - do the height and width or diameter measurements of the lampbase correspond with any of the numbers there?

139/2532 is the Katalog number which matches that in the book page 97.
The 80 is a mystery unless it is a humungous 80cm tall perhaps?

I did not find any markings on the metal of the ligth fixture.

I'll measure it tonigth and let you know if the 80 corresponds to any measurements. The glass it self has to be between 40cm and 50 cm tall, add the ligth fixture on top and it could be 80 cm. I woonder if it could be a production count.

I found this one on line, same model (139/2532) but this one is red and it is a vase, not a lamp.

It's not as nice as yours - your colours are better - and yours is a lamp.  ;D
Lamps are less common than vases (and more desirable - unless they've been converted by amateurs).

It's possible the 80 could be a production number - or it could signify that it's been made into a lamp - or signify that it is to be made into a lamp.... or anything, really.....

Is there any chance you could post a picture of the one in the Catalog?

I'm pretty sure that would be against all copyright laws.

Links to images on public sites can be posted.

I can't I'm afraid and unfortunately it is in black and white photograph format anyway, so the colours don't show, but it's the same shape as the one you linked to  :)
