Topic: Miniature pale green open crackle vase

This is the tiniest vase I own, 3 1/8" tall (8cm) cute shape, large beautifully polished pontil mark.  The crackle goes right under the base and looks as though the colour was laid on as powder. Green over clear and the crackle is open and not cased over.  Quite streaky pale powdery green effect lighter in some patches, darker in others.  Reminds me of Vasart greens or old fashioned babies cardigans 
Firepolished rim about 1/8th" thick or 4mm, 'normal' weight glass, i.e not lightweight.
I'm just curious as to who really.  I don't think it is studio glass so wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Interesting,been comparing it with my Kralik crackle pieces but don't think it's one of theirs,stumped

There is at least one earlier thread about items like this. And I showed my green example which is probably a twin to the one shown here.

I'll try a search on "crackle" and see if I can find the thread ... but nobody has yet given an ID to them.

Kev's topic here.  There is a comment in there which says 'thought not to be Vasart or Nazeing' which I believe refers to the jug and milk bowl, and the vase linked to which is a twin to mine.

I bought mine just because it was interesting, but last night searching for Monart vases it occurred to me that it might be shape WK waisted vase.

However, I know less than nothing about Monart having only ever seen one piece at Broadfield House, so I dismissed it.

Ah, yes. I forgot to do the searching!

When I first saw the example I have, it was at an "antiques fair" on the far side of a hall but well lit and my first thought was, "What's that? Is it Monart?".

I also bought it for interest and had a thought or two about the Monart "waisted" shape. The comment in the other thread about "thought not to be Vasart or Nazeing" actually refers to all items that look like ours and was based on information from a certain Mr Andrews and also confirmed by Nigel in his response in the thread.

So we are still in the unknown zone.

Keith thanks also for checking out your Kralik, but it really isn't anything like any of my crackle either, or in fact any of the crackle I have or had before selling.  BTW did you have a piece of red crackle with gold on it?  I can't remember what shape it was but have you checked out Webb and Stevens and Williams?  I've come across a piece recently that was red with gold that I think might have been one of theirs.

That's the piece on the right of the picture,I'll check out Webb and S&W,I recently saw a bowl similar,can't remember where ,with crackle and gold finish only with the same applied decor as this one with a Murano label
