What date this Mdina paperweight?
« on: May 02, 2012, 03:04:53 PM »
This paperweight has multi coloured splashes yet still has an earthy feel - signed to base and with faded paper Mdina label to top and Malta price label to side. I have early pieces with these labels - thing is how early is this, if at all - when did they fade these out for plastic labels?

Any time from the mid-'70s on - until plastic labels came in, sometime around the early '90s, I think. Sorry I can't be any more specific than that. It's not a Harris design and not of his time there.

Thanks Sue. It doesn't feel 70s more 80s I do like these though, they make a change from the greens and browns, which of course I also like.
