Is this duck figure Murano or not?
« on: May 07, 2012, 12:33:56 AM »
I have seen a few similar on eBay listed as Murano by Seguso; however, can hardly use that as a basis for an ID.
Is this Murano or not?  Thanks for any help.

Yes to Murano, whether Seguso or not is a little trickier for me to say. It looks like it could be, certainly very similar in form and colour to some of the birds shown in Pina's book (Lace and Stone) on Archimede Seguso.

One question, has the tip of the tail been broken off at some point?

John

Thank you very much for the ID.  The tail looks blunt, however, it looks and feels very smooth and polished.  Thanks again for the help.

Gail
