Glitterati advice needed - something fishy..???
« on: May 07, 2012, 07:56:32 PM »
Greetings Glitterati
delighted with a basic Sowerby "Jellyfish" Rose Bowl at my local antique fair at the Bolton Reebok earlier today.

I took another bowl that I wasnt too keen on which I bought in my early days of collecting (not sure why as I really don't like GREEN!)

In the end I decided to keep it and not trade it till I knew a little more - there is one on e-bay currently listed as "Walther" but feel its way out as it is a little more like Bagley..

It has 2 fish handles (sim to a Brockwitz type bowl) but has intricate rim of swimming fishes.. (sim to Bagley??) - the shape is vaguely reminincent of the Walther "Berlin" bowl (in fact its an eclectic mix of all 3 designers!!)

I have attached pics for perusal and any info as ever very gratefully received!
 ;D
Thank you in advance of your knowledge lovely people!

I don't think they have been identified yet, Pamela has them listed under "unknown":

Don't know if it's uranium, never seen one and can't tell from the photo. You don't want a black light bulb, you want tubes. Maplins is a good place to start.
