At my Sunday market, I picked up a little glass ram which is one of the oddest glass items I've got. He's very well made, with wool which looks like perfect little rosebuds.  In regular light, it's a milkish-pink colour with some yellow.  In sunlight, it's a strong pink with a blue core.  The horns are yellow and shine bright green under UV light.

It's 6cm tall, 6,5cm wide and weighs 61g -- quite heavy for such a wee piece.

As he was sitting among figurines and animals which I did recognise as ZBS, I think there is a great chance that he's Czech.  Does anyone recognise him?

I'd have snapped him up too. I agree, beautifully modelled and the strangest combinations of colours - which remind me of the Stumph, Touvier and Violette little salts - a combination of pink and opalescent glass with a gold lustre, although I haven't seen one with uranium in it. Sorry not to be of more help - but he's special, whatever he is.  :)

Anik,  she is scrumptious!  Must be a she as she is covered in roses.....what a treasure to find.

 I have never seen anything like it,  but if I did, I too would have bought it....I love the way the horns are so curly as well.......I have a Langham Ram (rather bigger!)  who would fall in love with her.

I do hope you find out who made her.

"Her-s" do not have big curly horns - he's definitely a he, with enough panache to wear roses.  ;)

He he!  might be a she with enough Panache to wear curly horns!!

Whatever the sex,  it is one lovely piece of art glass.

Worth a look at this though, all the same......a fact I didn't know  ;)
