Trying to find out a little more info on this pair of Victorian opaline jugs with frilled rim and applied foliage which extends down from the end of handle.
Cased in amber over white glass, with the amber graduating downwards to white. Ground concave pontil mark to the base with faint remnants of small pontil scar.
Measure approximately 9 inches tall. Slight variation in the weight of each, weighing approx 600 grams and 780 grams.
I was hoping to try and confirm age and possible maker, at present I was thinking along the lines of Victorian, circa 1890ish and possibly by Stevens & Williams or alternatively to a lesser extent possibly Czech..?
All thoughts welcome.
Many thanks
Greg
