Hi David ,
Info in the major glass fairs  is here , http://www.specialistglassfairs.com/,  there is also the Cecil Higgins museum in Bedford with a very good glass collection , but its closed at the moment for a refurb.

Cheers ,

Thanks Peter,
Fewer glass fairs than I thought, lucky I'm fairly close to one of them. I'll have to try some higher end mixed fairs as they would probably have a few good glass stands. I tend to avoid these as  they are often date lined and only my taste in glass extends back to C18th.. Everything else I collect is mainly early C20th (well you've got to put a limit somewhere).

Hi ,
Shows like the NEC have a few glass dealers attending others like Olympia and other London events will also have some 18thc dealers attending, those can be an opportunity to look at some glass , though buying at those events can I suspect led to paying a premium ,somebody has to pay the very high exhibiting cost at these venues , which is why you will only see my glass at the specialist glass fairs.

cheers,
             Peter.

Thanks again, Perhaps I'll see you if you are at the Cambridge fair in September. I met a couple of well known GMB names last time I went.

HI ,
I have exhibited at every specialist glass fair inc Cambridge since they began so i should be there as usual, though the venue as yet is unknown due to the dreadful fire at Chilford Hall .

cheers ,
            Peter.

I had thought of going in September, although in view of this information must check if venue does indeed change.    No doubt this news was on the cafe, and I probably missed it.

For details of the situation about the Cambridge Glass Fair, see this thread in the "Glass News" forum. I am sure updates will be added when info is available.
