Bernard C:

--- Quote from: "Crystal Island" ---... Hope to see you at Haydock it is only 8 miles from where I live - but the last time we went to attend an antique fair there it was cancelled and believe you me there were a great number of disgruntled buyers who had travelled a lot more than 8 miles. ...

Thanks for the information.   I will bring this to the attention of the Northern Glass Fair organisers, who do not cancel fairs once confirmed.    What fair was it?   A date would suffice and be appreciated.    They will not want to inherit the reputation of some other organiser.

Crystal Island:
The fair was about 4 months ago or so - and it was advertised in the Antiques Diary as being one of the biggest in the North West.  It was a general antiques fair (or should have been) not a specialised glass fair, but I could not give you the name of the organiser - perhaps Haydock Racecourse Events organiser could help you.

One other fair we tried to attend about six weeks ago was organised by Barbola Fairs - venue University of Central Lancs Preston.  Paid for the parking only to find it had been cancelled.  They have another one tomorrow lst April - but guess who will NOT be driving to Preston - not on April Fools Day. Once bitten and all that...............

Crystal Island:
Just visited Barbola Fairs to see if there is anything about the lst April Fair at Preston currently being advertised in the Antiques Diary - guess what - POSTPONED AGAIN!!!!!!

Crystal Island:
When I said "just visited" - I should have put "just visited their website"
