Amber etched caraff (?) for id please. top rim is quite rough...may have been cut down at some stage? Nice polished out pontil (like whitefriars). No sign/marks of there being a stopper. 21cm tall.

as you suggest it is a re-cut and not well done. The original would have had a flared rim and a (probably ball) stopper.  Datewise I'd guess circa 1900-1920.
