large white and brown sculptural piece
« on: June 25, 2012, 05:52:14 PM »
Hello, sorry I've been AWOL for a while since I last posted. Still looking to ID dad's glass collection.
The last time I was here I was asked to post 1 pc per day and 1 pc per post. So here's today's offering.
Any ideas on this please?
I say brown and white although looking closely i guess its more a plum and white.
The base measures approx 11 cms diameter and it measures approx 38 cms at its highest

Edit : I tried resizing it to make it upload, but now the photo's really small. if you need a larger pic, let me know and I'll try again.

Welcome back.  A larger picture would help, as would a shot of the bottom. But offhand it looks like a piece from eastern Europe - perhaps Ukraine (Neman), perhaps Azerbeidjan - or perhaps the elusive Bulgarians who produced a lot of brown-and-white.

I would guess Polish and perhaps Jozefina or Makora

You need to resize so the the longest dimension is 700 pixels; that usually works. And we always like a base shot

I think I've managed to post the larger picture having found the right amount to resize it by! I will try to get a picture of the base tomorrow.
