Possibly contemporary studio production but really I don't know.  The base is slightly curved in to the centre, no pontil mark as it has been removed very neatly and firepolished to completely smooth, apart from you can feel a slight tiny bump with your finger.  So there is barely a mark at all on the whole base.
The rim is firepolished rounded and the whole vase including the rim is quite thick - rim measures 7mm thick.  It is only 3 3/4" (9.5cm tall) by 4 1/8" wide but weighs nearly 2lb or 820 gram ish.
The splotch decoration is 'sandwiched' between a clear glass interior with mica layer and exterior layer of clear glass.  The rim has been rolled or dipped into little chips so they form a slightly textured layer of green chips around the rim both inside and out.
I really like it.  It sits well with my 20s'/30's stuff.
Anyone spotted anything similar out there?  Thanks for looking  :)

perhaps some clearer pictures.
This is not marked or signed which I find odd if it is a more recent piece.  Most studio of more recent years is signed in some way.  On the dark background you can see the mica clearly - it really does look like someone has shaken the christmas glitter all over it.   The jelly like bits around the top remind me of two paperweights I have that have those same bits in different colours.
Any thoughts or ideas for searches appreciated :)
many thanks

By "jelly like" (presumably English meaning of jelly rather than US or NZ), I guiess you mean the "watery, translucent" appearance of the small bits.

Various paperweights, and other glass objects, do have a "mottled bits" decoration and some examples that spring to mind are a range of weights by John Deacons and items from the likes of Teign Valley Glass and Wedgwood.

thanks Kev, as I reposted these I did think of Teign Valley Glass.  And I have had a quick look round to refresh recall on their pieces which are not always marked.  However I have to say that I have not seen anything from them quite like this, with this level of decoration - their pieces are usually plainer/simpler.  It is incredibly heavy as well.  I was also wondering if it might be a piece from Dartington or someone who worked the studio there in the 90's maybe and Wedgwood is another good search option.  The mica is a bit of a weird thing as well.  I don't recall seeing any pieces with mica from more recent studio work at all  :-\
I might drop TVG a line to see what they say though as, if I recall, they did do some largeish bowls with these jelly like bits in
Thanks again
