flared vase Scottish maybe ?
« on: June 28, 2012, 05:36:27 PM »
Hi, i have just acquired  this flared shaped vase and was wondering if this is Scottish glass but not sure.
Its 5 inches tall and has a rim dia of 4 inches. The ground button pontil mark stands out from the concave base  . The mottled green pattern has gold coloured inclusions near the top of the vase.
Many thanks in advance
Malcolm

I'd agree, Monart. :)
Too big for a miniature, just a small vase - but Monart all the same.  8)

Hi Andy, many thanks for the information  i think i found the shape WK on Franks great site but the size indicated shows 6 inches tall as opposed to the one described by me at 5 inches tall. I also found some very similar colourway vases on the site which matches quite well.

Definitely Monart though I am not sure the shape is WK my thoughts it could be shape EB. Shape EB has roughly got same size of diameter at the base and the top of the vase where the WK shape has a larger diameter at the top than the base. The Monart colour code for your vase is 162.

Hi Gary, rechecked Franks site and it looks as you have the correct information on shape and colour.
Many thanks to everyone
