Okey-dokey! I've checked my email "archives".

David Tolley at the IoWSG, I believe, was using the Archives to get his information, so both you and I were told this was strapped Seawood.

Ron Wheeler, of Artius Glass, in private emails to me, told me he had asked Elizabeth Harris for me about this, and that she said there was no such range as Seawood.
The information in Lesley Jackson is perfectly correct (also confirmed to me personally by Elizabeth Harris), that Seaward came before Aurene.

These pieces are mid-'70's variations on Aurene. You don't get any better than Elizabeth Harris for correct information on this!
I'd love it too, if it were a rare and undocumented range, and Seawood seems quite appropriate for the strapped ones, but this is just not the case.

The other thing that convinces me I'm right about this (apart from confirmation by Ron and Elizabeth) is that the colour and pattern ARE the Aurene pattern, just with strapping! :D

I still particularly like this unusual variation on Aurene, and I still collect it. I slightly prefer the turquoisey one, I believe it is rarer than the inky one, but that's just from what I've encountered.

I haven't quite had the guts to tell whoever it is at IoWSG that the archive info is wrong, I can't log into their forum any more.
