I'm not being notified of responses in this thread, but the bit at the bottom says I am - Sorry for the delay. I would be interested in this piece, which is Blue Aurene.
The site is wrong about a range called Seawood, I have had a long discussion with them about it! Although there are 2 pieces in their Archive Range (sold) labelled "Seawood", this, I am assured, is a typographic error, based on the "Seaward" range, but is also wrong, because it's Aurene, not Seaward. Confused? So was I. (I bought the pieces, so I was determined to get proper attribution, and desperately excited to think there was a previously unheard-of range called Seawood.) I thought it might be this strapped range, where the more turquoisey, Mdina-ish blue was used, rather than the inky blue of IoWSG, but I am assured that these variations in colour and with/out strapping, are just variations on the theme of Blue Aurene, dating to around the mid-'70's.

Well, how confused am I now?
Just got a reply from the Isle of Wight website saying it is from the Strapped Seawood range dated mid 70's. ???? ?? :?

Was that David Tolley that replied to you?
I have posted pictures of these strapped Aurene pieces to them, along with the turquoisey ones the same as their Archive ones (as well as the Archive ones). I was assured that, at the beginning of IoWSG, they did not really name ranges, or even have "ranges", they were just developing things.
I shall see if I can find the emails.

Well, here's the discussion on the IoWSG forum.

It was Ron Wheeler that contacted me through this forum, and him that explained about this being a variation on Aurene.
It is definitely NOT Seaward, which definitely DID come before Aurene!

Hi Sue, I am not doubting you at all just thought it was strange that following your well researched information, I should get today the Seawood info. the email wasn't signed, so can't say. It was from the Archive section of the site.
