Possibly contemporary studio production but really I don't know. The base is slightly curved in to the centre, no pontil mark as it has been removed very neatly and firepolished to completely smooth, apart from you can feel a slight tiny bump with your finger. So there is barely a mark at all on the whole base.
The rim is firepolished rounded and the whole vase including the rim is quite thick - rim measures 7mm thick. It is only 3 3/4" (9.5cm tall) by 4 1/8" wide but weighs nearly 2lb or 820 gram ish.
The splotch decoration is 'sandwiched' between a clear glass interior with mica layer and exterior layer of clear glass. The rim has been rolled or dipped into little chips so they form a slightly textured layer of green chips around the rim both inside and out.
I really like it. It sits well with my 20s'/30's stuff.
Anyone spotted anything similar out there? Thanks for looking
