Pressed glass amber candleholders? ID help please
« on: July 06, 2012, 07:57:28 PM »
I have this pair of amber pressed glass items, Any thoughts on use and maker please, the interior doesn't appear to be big enough to take a candle. "Wings" appear to have perhaps been pulled out whilst soft.  Crosshatched base. All thoughts appreciated John

Can't help with the ID I'm afraid, although I've seen these quite often, but I think they are most likely ashtrays.
I've also seen similar ones, without the wings, that are stacking ashtrays.  Out of interest, do yours stack?
