On reflection, I've actually joined Etsy as a member, and have now requested permission from the seller of the green Reich set for re-use of her images on the board. I've attributed the set for her and I've also given her the link to this discussion about the set.
Thank you, Jayne , for pointing my way to Etsy - so many undocumented treasures.
There are lots of unusual trinket sets (or parts thereof) on the major auction sites, and I am quite happy to request permission for re-use of eBay or Etsy's lister's images for posting on GMB - what it is to have some spare time now I'm semi-retired !!
In each case, I will briefly explain the purpose of our deliberations, stress the non-commercial side of the whole thing, and give them links to GMB, Anne's site, Pamela's site etc. as appropriate. I will also thank image 'donors' for their permission, and send follow-up messages keeping them informed of possible IDs (even if it's just a Mystery Set or an Unknown).
If any GMB member wants me to seek permission for images from other sources then simply email me via GMB and I'll do my best.
Every single potential 'image donor' I have asked so far seems to have been enthusiastic about the Trinket Sets projects, delighted to have been pointed to the various linked sites, and over the moon when their sets have been ID'd.
