Textured / bark vase - Scandinavian?
« on: August 07, 2012, 10:49:41 PM »
Hi,

Hoping someone recognises this vase.

When I originally bought it the previous owner had painted the inside with metallic red paint, hence the traces of red colour in the photo of the base. Managed to remove it with paint thinner.

Thought it might be Iittala but can't find it. Searched 'textured glass vase' on google but that hasn't worked either. Tried various other Scandinavian glass makers and still nothing. Tried Whitefriars still nothing.

Some wear to the base so it's not brand new - it may be 1960-70s

Polished pontil mark.

22cm high.
9.5cm at it's widest section.
