Topic: Large green and pink plate

This is a solid plate or tray with diameter 32 cm (12.1/2" for the challenged).  It has tiny little bubbles all over and is composed of the colours moss green and pink.

I'm having a hard time seeing how this has been achieved. It is not powder on a clear base and it is not mixed in the melt: it has more the colour and feel of pâte-de-verre - but the design is very simple, almost stern....

The bottom is ground matt and flat over the whole surface.

Pointers invited - am I looking at France or at the US?

My guts think French before American - but that might be because it looks like a cheese board. 
Very unusual thing, Ivo - I can't see how the colours have been worked either.

It's difficult to tell from the photos Ivo, they don't enlarge very well.  But looking top down at the edge is it possible it was in clear glass but just a lot of colour got picked up so covered most of it?  the rim edge looks as though it might be clear iish? or is it not?

and are the bubbles very regularly round in shape?

Ivo I have this lidded box.  It's completely matt inside and out and is much thinner than your tray, but again I can't see that the colours are in a clear glass at all and it looks like pate de verre but I have no idea if it is.  It's difficult to know how it was made and it has millions of tiny round bubbles all over it.
It's not the same I know as the appearance of your tray but do the bubbles and the colour effect look similar?

bingo - the bubbles and the colour scheme look familiar. Will try and wave the macro lens at it when i'm up and about again - right now ko with food poisoning and it aint funny.

It looks very similar to my lidded pot, does your tray (I think it is a tray) look like these bubbles?

Sort of. I would say the bubbles in this plate are tiny and evenly distributed.

sorry Ivo, it's still quite difficult to tell on your pics.
The bubbles in mine are very evenly matched shape and size and are distributed over the entire piece like the back view of the pendant.
I did find a berluze vase by Andre Delatte last night that had a close up pic of the bulbous foot of the vase.  It was multi coloured as well and had these same bubbles in.  I didn't think it would be possible to make a berluze vase from pate de verre, so perhaps its the way the colours have been laid out and gathered on the marver that make this bubble effect as well as pieces made by Pate de verre?
I think my pot is old, does your tray or cheese board have that feeling?  The colours and combination feel old to me.

I'll try and find the pic again and add it for your comparison.
