Purchased in 1970(I must have been their final customer) in a Los Angeles department store when I fell in love with the fabulous etching workmanship.

The glass is 25% Lead according to the label

The glass stems: wines, water, champagnes and snifters( one, shown).

I have searched online for years and can never find any trace of Fischer.

Does anyone recognize this maker?

Try the German word for crystal in your search - Kristall.  Really it works.

Thank you for the hint--I confess I never searched with the Kristall term.

It seem  that Fischer, presently, makes reproduction chandeliers in Lebon, Deutschland.

Each of the additional links in google did not apply.  Replacements, the subject of earlier searches, is a zero.  One small vase on ebay.

Apparently, I, must have purchased the last of their production in 1970.

From a few labelled vases over the years I know there must have been a company
named Fischer in Fichtelberg / Bavaria. But... only seen a few pieces and no idea
about the company´s history...

Thank you for that hint but it yields no result.
I'm fairly convinced that I bot the tail end of their production.
Then,  4 stems were more expensive than my sterling--that's how much I loved the workmanship.
Not all my pieces were available upon purchase--they trickled in.

The etching is beyond beautiful--and far prettier than Waterford which has a tendency(oh, Gawd, she thought--here come the smoke bombs) to be more shallow in comparison.

I suppose, if nothing else, I can line their sweet selves up on a window sill and watch the rainbows.
LOTS of rainbows. I've enjoyed and used them for decades but! I'm finished playing hostess to the Western World. As I taught my mother's parrot BUGSY to say -- ''This bird's tired''.

BUGSY was a double yellow napped Amazon... he loved mother--and only her.  He would take dead aim, with his telescoping yellow eye and black iris, at my finger when I fed him if  the parents were on vacation. BUGSY and I had what could best be described as a less than loving affair.  Parrots are lizards with feathers and I'm not crazy for lizards.
