Topic: Czech Sommerso Vase?

A few weeks ago I came across the piece shown and to date have been unable to verify if it is a mid century era Czech piece.  Given the solid clear base and light caramel color center I assume it is accurate to describe it as sommerso.  The piece is ~ 8.25" X 3", weighs ~ 2.5 pounds and I hope I've captured both the textural element as well as the thickness.  As always any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
