Barolac opalescent
« on: February 22, 2013, 12:46:23 PM »
Hello
I wondered if anyone knew if Barolac made an opalescent charger decorated with large pansy style flowers and a butterfly on a stem?
The edge of the bowl is also scalloped.
I cannot post any pics obviously due to copyright but wondered if anyone had any info please?
Thanks
Nige

If you're referring to the one I think you are (currently on ebay and misattributed to another maker) then no, it's not Barolac, but from a US maker; Duncan Miller if I recall correctly...  ;)

Hi Steven
Yes that's the one! It has a Barolac quality about it I thought.
It's not my thing but thought it may have been a pattern by Barolac.

Without a pic tough to tell. Duncan did make a #128 large plate in two sizes 12" & 14" that were Dogwood flowers , scalloped edge & it was made in opalescent. Last Friday I saw a Barolac Dragon charger at a monthly show, but someone painted it red on the reverse & put a hefty price on it.
