Superb crystal cat figurine ?siamese cat
« on: February 27, 2013, 04:26:31 PM »
I have been given this cat figurine to sell on Ebay for my charity http://www.furnitureplus.org.uk/

Could anyone help with identification as to manufacture, please?  I would be very grateful.

It is solid and heavy with a superb clarity to the crystal, and very difficult to photograph.

Many thanks.

Please may we see a picture of the base and one side shot with a good view of the tail please? Also please can you say how tall and wide it is? Thanks.
Rosie.

Many thanks for your interest.   I am wondering if this is Scandinavian glass.

I have taken more photos - very difficult subject.  The base is not clear in the photo, but it is quite flat and well-polished with no maker's mark at all.

It stands approx. 5.5 in/13 cm tall by approx 3 in/7.5 cm front to back at the widest point and including the feet.

The tail loops round from the back to one shoulder.

The glass has a very faint yellowy tinge to the fabric.
