Hello, Joe,
This thread actually was what prompted me to follow-up on joining the GMB - Although I cannot reference any hard documentation, I do in fact have two essentially identical weights packed away which I purchased back in the early '90's, and have some notes which may be helpful: One weight is roughly 3" Spherical, and the other is Ovoid ~ 2 3/4"d x 3 9/16h, both w/ flat bases, and w/ burgundy festooning and mint green, respectively. Beautifully articulate canes accent both pieces.
I had asked LH Selman to comment on photos I forwarded in 1991 and at that time he thought they were possibly O&F. In 1992, Paul Dunlop visited and expressed a similar "1st guess", but suggested they could also be Grant Randolph @ Santa Barbara... Later that same year, in the December, 1992 CS&S (Collector's Sales and Services, RI) Auction Catalogue Lot# 471 referenced a virtual match to the Ovoid work as "SCHNEIDER", and as a follow to analysis of both pieces, Arthur & Theresa Greenblatt (NJ) in 1993 felt inclined to agree w/ the Schneider attribution when I presented them as part of my collection for review... all prior notations considered.
Obviously a lot of time has passed since those discussions, but I thought it might be helpful to share what little I have - and would welcome your findings going forward, as it seems we've got some similarly unresolved items awaiting further clarification and more definitive work. I just haven't had the time, but feel a bit more motivated after seeing your post.
I'll try to dig 'em out & take a few pix if it would be helpful, too (one of these days)

Regards,
