bohemian Art Deco Schlevogt vase?
« on: March 20, 2013, 06:28:03 PM »
Hi guys!

I think this is a Schlevogt vase from the 1920s but i didn't really find a confirmation in the web yet.
Can anyone confirm my Schlevogt suspect or are there other ideas around who made it? Height is 21,5cm.

Here some more pics:

Thanks in advance for any help!
Micha

It's a modern one from old moulds; they were being made until very recently by Desna. The colour gives it away

Many of the Schlevogt moulds have been bought by Desna and those pieces are still being produced today.

I don't know how one would distinguish an original old one from a contempoary new one (apart from age-related wear on the base).
It could be this particular bit comes from an unsold mould... I just don't know.

;) edited to add - but I know somebody who does - hi Christine :-*

I really am behind the times.
Last night, I had to ask my OH how old we are. I'd forgotten.  :-[

Hi Christine!

Thank you for your quick answer!
I am a little bit disappointed now because i had big hopes that it would be an old Schlevogt vase.
I saw the Desna items when investigating for this one but couldn't find a Desna vase looking like mine yet.

Kind regards
Micha

Hello Hugo!

I am not sure, may be.
I will have a closer look tomorrow in the daylight.

Hi Micha,
try Energie-Spar-Leuchte -  if itīs Neodymium it will show the colour-changing effect.  :)
