Murano latticino swans ID of maker required please
« on: March 23, 2013, 11:38:39 AM »
I have a pair of identical Murano latticino swans that I would like to find which maker made them (of possible) and rough date of the swans,

They both have a Murano sticker adhered, which I think is a generic label.

The heads of both swans do have gold aventurine within.

Both have rough snapped pontils.

One is in pink and white latticino, the other is all white latticino.

Max height is 14.2cm approx x 9cm max length approx

Many thanks in advance.

No idea who made them but there is no such thing as gold aventurine. Those have real gold leaf. Aventurine is generally copper coloured, though it's other name is goldstone. See here for more information and the special way it's made.
