Topic: Striped Venetian?

Hi all, I can see there's a lot of knowledgeable people here... and with the flattery out of the way, I'd be very grateful if anyone has any ideas as to my collection...

I always liked these items - they belonged to my Grandmother and came into my possession upon her demise, some 30+ years ago. I seem to remember her saying they were collected in the 1930's - but the memory is hazy and I stand to be corrected. All my attempts to find out more have drawn a blank.

Sadly there are no marks/labels on the bottoms - which are smooth and shiny. They all stand around 100/130 mm tall though I have some smaller bowls as well.

If you need any further information please let me know - and many thanks for any help you can give me - it will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the glass message board. There is no real need for flattering introductions here - we tend to answer everything glass related anyway.
You have a nice collection of Bohemian glass from the 1920s in what looks like very good nick. 
Not sure who made it - but many people attribute this style to Powolny, of Wiener Werkstätte fame. If you put Powolny into Google image search you will not know what hits you.  Perhaps you will manage to attribute these with certainty - if so, please let us know.

Ohhh..... many thanks - I owe you all a large drink!
Now I know what I'm looking for there I've been Googling and there is no doubt that this is what I have.
Here's the other pieces in case you are interested. One has a small chip/flake out of the rim - hardly noticeable - all the rest are as perfect as the day they were made.

The only problem I have now is they seem to be quite desirable but as I said, I have always liked them... I guess that's not a bad problem to have though, once again, many thanks.

Continue to enjoy them - perhaps with just a bit more respect than you had before.

If you wish to extend your collection - be careful. This is such a desirable design that it´s still
being made. You´ll find new ´editions´ in many shops in Prague or some of the czech glass
centres. Very hard to tell the new ones from the old ones, so it´s not advisable IMHO to buy
these online.
Therefore - another congrats for having a set with some family history that proves its authenticity!
