Topic: Knopped bud vase help please

Hello, this knopped bud vase is a grey colour. I was thinking it may be a Whitefriars 'silver' bud vase pattern 9484 or 9485 , but it is 9 inches high. Any help with ID would be great, thanks.

Well it looks like a Silver Whitefriars bud vase  that's for sure, but the height does not conform with the catalogues.  I've had lots of these in the past and mostly they conform in height give or take half an inch at most. As you most likely know they were made in two heights - 7.5 inches and 10.5 inches, so this is an oddity.  Does it look as if it may have been cut down at all?

there is absolutely no appearance of being cut down , it is definitely a smooth rounded furnace finished rim. Glad you think its 'odd' too !!!
